In this day of equality, we may struggle to define roles and regulate personal responsibilities. One of the oldest arguments and indiscretions in modern times...Leaving the toilet seat up...Or some may say Leaving the toilet seat down. Since the invention of the modern toilet seat by Sir John Harington, in 1596, there has been a conflict in every matrimonial household since that very day. You may have heard these words..."Did you put the toilet seat down?" or maybe it went more like this..."Why can't you just put the damn toilet seat down!!!"
This is the ire of a woman whose husband has left the toilet seat up for the umpteenth time, and perhaps she has even fallen into the might porcelain equalizer.
The unasked question that we are all here to discuss is:
Whose responsibility is it to leave the toilet seat either up or down?
